Fertilmas by Supplemena, is a German-made supplement for male infertility treatment and has a unique composition, comprising the highest quality & highest grade amino acids to support sperm maturation and male fertility.
Supplemena Fertilmas is a unique composition of L-Arginine and L-Carnitine, along with a myriad of other vitamins, minerals, micro-nutrients and fatty acids, which are manufactured in Germany using Cohesive Mixing Technology, to maximize the efficacy of its 2 daily capsules.
Components of Fertilmas
Spermine and spermidine have a stabilizing effect on DNA and show structural similarities with the amino acid L-arginine.
In a study published in 2004, men who took L-arginine consistently for a period of six months recorded an improvement in sperm motility.
In an earlier study, 74 percent of the 178 study participants recorded an increase in sperm density and motility. L-arginine is very important for a number of processes within the testicles and penis and can have a positive impact on the strength and mobility of sperm.
The testicles need Arginine to produce spermin, a polyamine first discovered in human semen and now known to occur in almost all tissues. Spermin is concentrated particularly high in semen and is responsible for its characteristic smell and more importantly to stabilize and preserve the human DNA. It ensures the mobility of the sperm and plays an important role in cell division itself. A higher Arginine consumption therefore causes average ejaculate volume to increase.
Indirectly, Arginine also leads to a better chance of pregnancy due to its strengthening of erections and thus the prospect of more frequent sexual intercourse. Arginine regulates the rate of blood flow (vascularity) and consequently the supply of nutrients throughout the body. This regulation of blood vessels means that it is indispensable for healthy functioning arteries and circulation. Urologists recommend taking arginine in their dietary treatment of erectile dysfunction for this reason. It helps blood flow to the penis.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an important water-soluble antioxidant that protects the sperm from oxidative stress. A lack of vitamin C can lead to infertility and increase the risk of damage to sperm DNA.
Vitamin E and Selenium
Oxidative stress and ROS can damage the cell membrane by lipid peroxidation and consequently immobilize sperm. The supply of antioxidants is particularly important for the maturation process of new sperm. Vitamin E, the trace element selenium and the tri-peptide glutathione minimize lipid peroxidation. In a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study it was shown that a daily dose of 300mg of vitamin E over six months improves sperm motility.
L-Carnitine (Swiss-made Carnipure by Lonza)
As an antioxidant, L-Carnitine protects the DNA cell membrane from damage by ROS. L-Carnitine is also important for energy metabolism in sperm as it’s needed to transport long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane. L-Carnitine is also in high concentrations within the epididymis.
Folic acid plays an important role in cell growth and division. Folic acid is also involved in the formation of human DNA. Sufficient folic acid levels contribute to healthy genetic material.
Zinc has a significant impact on male testosterone production and is known for its influence on immunological processes. A lack of zinc can lead to a reduction in sperm density and to low testosterone levels. The daily intake of zinc improves in sperm quality and is thus an important component in the treatment of male Infertility.
Coenzyme Q10 acts as an antioxidant and energy-promoting agent and is thought to stablize the integrity of the sperm flagella. Studies have demonstrated a correlation between Coenzyme Q10 levels and sperm health.
Vitamin B12 is involved in cell maturation and DNA synthesis. A deficiency of vitamin B12 in the nutrition is associated with decreased sperm count and motility, therefore, for enhanced sperm health vitamin B12 is essential.
Taking B6 has been shown to improve sperm count and quality. Vitamin B6 helps in the production of male sex hormones in the body.
Vitamin DVitamin D3 assists in the production of sex hormones in men. A recent study found that vitamin D3 levels in men correspond directly to the quality of sperm they produce. Men with higher levels of vitamin D in their blood had higher quality sperm, that were faster and better swimmers, as well as better at penetrating the egg. Our studies suggest that vitamin D supplementation might increase testosterone levels, another factor which affects male fertility.
This product contains TWO BOXES.
One box of Fertilmas includes only 60 individual capsules and is the equivalent of one month's supply. Please take 2 capsules per day, with plenty of water, ideally just before a large meal, preferably breakfast or lunch; not before sleeping.
We recommend taking Supplemena Fertilmas for at least of three months, the equivalent length of the sperm maturation process.
